So, in this article I write something about power consumption by Orange Pi Zero, what is temperature of Orange Pi Zero and at the end I show you results of benchmark sysbench.

My ferric chloride was saturated and so I couldn't etch. I looked for equivalent, but I found something so much better.

I found very interesting video here.
But some etching bath are very unstable or/and dangerous - e.g. hydrogen peroxide with hydrochloric acid - it excludes chlorine.

Microchip released a new group of microntroller with AVR® core.
That are microcontrollers with up to 20 MHz clock, up to 8 KB FLASH, up to 512B SRAM and 128B EEPROM.
The packages are available with 14, 20 and 24 IO pins.
The microcontrollers offer better management of low power modes and peripherals, includes Event System and touch controller QTouch®.

After my experimentes with NodeMCU and SHT75 I designed next version of my mini meteostation.

I designed own PCB for plastic box. I chose the same ESP8266 module which is in NodeMCU, ESP12E.
SHT75 temperature/humidity sensor is expensive (but very accurate), so I chose another temperature/humidity sensor. Si7021 by Silicon Labs company.

I shared news about kickstarter campaign of codebender, Online IDE for Arduino, which promises support of ESP8266 and ESP32.
This campaign ends 2016/10/26. The goal is $60 000, but the campaign has only $6 000.
Petr Stehlík shared post about and the end.
Codebender writes on website, that "All good things must come to an end".
It has almost 100,000 registered users, 10,000 monthly active users and $800,000 of investment.

STMicroelectronics released a new microcontroller with ARM® Cortex®-M7 core.

STMicroelectronics changed technology of STM32H7 from 90 nm to 40 nm. Then the maximal frequency is up to 400 MHz. STM32H7 got 2010 point (856 DMIPS) in CoreMark.

To optimize the STM32H7, its architecture has been divided into three domains. Very simply, the first one (D1) includes the core with its cache, Flash memory and high bandwidth peripherals like the module to drive a screen or the Chrom-Art graphics engine. D2, the connectivity domain, groups low-speed peripherals like USB, the cryptographic accelerator and the SD/MMC2 unit for storage.

We wrote a news about NEC company, which shared picture of their display with Raspberry Pi 3 compute module, after that shared another information about RPi3 compute module on their blog.
Now, the world can see datasheet of versions 1 and 3. What is suprise is that Raspberry Pi 3 compute module will be available in two versions!
CM3 - Compute Module 3 and CM3L - Compute Module 3 Lite

What can we find in datasheet?
RAM will be the same for both versions LPDDR2 (1 GB, its maximum), the processor will be BCM2837 (64bit quad-core).

CM3 version contains 4 GB eMMC FLASH, however CM3L doesn't contain eMMC memory. CM3L contains only interface for microSD card through IO expander...

NEC company shared the news about the latest 40" displays. Surprisingly shared picture of new Raspberry Pi compute module 3. From news: "However, the latest Raspberry Pi 3 compute module boasts significant performance and networking capabilities, making it perfect for NEC’s displays."
So, when we can expect the Raspberry Pi compute module 3? I think ...

Nextthing company shared a new board for everyone - CHIP Pro.
The device has a dimension 30 x 45 mm and includes Allwinner R8 @ 1GHz (Cortex-A8) processor with included 256MB DDR3 RAM and GPU Mali400. CHIP Pro is called like System-on-Module (SoM).
The storage is 512MB SLC NAND or you can use interface for microSD card.
Like CHIP computer, CHIP Pro can be powered from USB 2.0 OTG or battery (CHIP Pro contains charger IC) as well...
Espressif shared a support of ESP32 for Arduino IDE.

WiLoader is fully supported in Arduino IDE. Easily, you can upload your code to your project with Arduino (AVR) through WiFi.
WiLoader has WiFi-UART bridge called WiCOM.

I think that Eclipse has one of the best editor for writing of codes. Arduino IDE hasn't to much options.

VL53L0X is electronics component for measurement of distance.
The base principle is beam of light which is reflected from object and received to back. This time is measured by microcontroller in VL53L0X. From these values you can calculate distance of object from VL053L0X.

The transmitter is 940nm laser VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser). This technology is excelent for higher immunity of measurement against ambient light.

The distance can be up to 2 m (6.56 feet). Data are sent to host device through I2C bus (up to 400 KHz). The power consumption during measurement is maximal 19 mA, for SW standby 6 uA, for HW standby 5 uA.
