STMicroelectronics bought part of Atollic TrueStudio before one year. After this, makers were waiting for a new release of IDE which will include Eclipse IDE (based on Atollic TrueStudio) and graphical tool CubeMX which is used for general settings of microcontroller and peripheral.
Today is the day, STMicroelectronics released STM32CubeIDE.
STM32CubeIDE contains usual GCC toolchain and took selector of STM32 microcontrollers, setting of clock, pinout and configuration of middleware (RTOS, USB, grafika, ...) from CubeMX.
Debug possibilities:
- CPU core, IP register, and memory views
- Live variable watch view
- System analysis and real-time tracing (SWV)
- CPU fault analysis tool
STM32CubeIDE supports ST-LINK (STMicroelectronics) and J-Link (SEGGER) debuggers.
You can directly import projects from Atollic® TrueStudio® and also AC6 (System Workbench for STM32).
The instalator is available for Linux® (rpm, deb, sh script), Windows® and MaxOS®.
