NEC company shared the news about the latest 40" displays. Surprisingly shared picture of new Raspberry Pi compute module 3. From news: "However, the latest Raspberry Pi 3 compute module boasts significant performance and networking capabilities, making it perfect for NEC?s displays."
So, when we can expect the Raspberry Pi compute module 3? I think official release will be in a few weeks. And what?
Quad-core proccessor up to 1.2 GHz. It looks that Raspberry Pi compute module 3 is stripped-down version of Rapsberry Pi 3.
We have to wait for another information.

RaspberryPi.org shared the article about NEC displays with RaspberryPi compute module 3. They shared more information about it in this article.
NEC displays can use the first generation of raspberry pi compute module and also third generation. It looks like compatible. Next, the processor is BCM2837 (1.2 GHz 64-bit quad-core processor ARMv8 Cortex-A53). The boards contains also 1 GB LPDDR2. And the last information, Rapsberry Pi compute module 3 could be available around the end of the year
